Asian Indians in US Statistics

As of the latest stats from local (US) Indian magazines, there are 2.3 millions Indians in US. I find mixed numbers on their breakup.

Each story that gives the stats of breakup of Indian population comes when a particular category/profession of Indian achieve something. Here, I am going to collect such stats offering article. Please post a comment if you have any more such article. Thanks.

According to Little India, there are 20,000 doctors in US, 150-200K software engineers and 8000 motel owners. The Association of Physicians from India (AAPI) has 35000 doctors and 10,000 interns.

The following article from India Tribute shows that the motel owners, along with gas station owners and Indian store owners have formed an association called Asian American Convenience Stores Association (AACSA), which is 80,000 strong and represents 60% of retailers in US and a buying power of $80Billion.
