Wildlife and Conservation - National Animal Tiger

Tiger is the national Animal of India.
There are 5 sub-species of tigers left in the world today. Of these,
Bengal Tigers live in India. White tigers are a type of Bengal tiger.

Tigers are endangered today. 3 sub-species of Tigers are already extinct.
Reasons are:


  • hunting—poaching—of tigers

  • destruction of the forests in which they live
